About rebecca
"Vulnerability sounds like truth and feels like courage. Truth and courage aren’t always comfortable, but they’re never weakness." – Brené Brown
Choosing to work with a counselor is an act of profound courage—you’re voluntarily sharing your story, struggles, and hopes with someone you’re just getting to know. That is not easy. Rebecca honors that bravery by providing a safe, nonjudgmental, and encouraging space where clients can explore patterns, process emotions, and discover new ways to navigate life’s challenges.
She approaches therapy through a relational and trauma-informed lens, recognizing that healing happens within the context of trust, understanding, and tailored support. However, she integrates a variety of therapeutic modalities to meet each client’s unique needs—because she believes that individuals are the experts in their own lives. Rebecca’s goal is to empower her clients in the work they do together, helping them build resilience and confidence as they move forward.
Education & Expertise
Rebecca is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in the state of Texas, under the supervision of Melodye Phillips, LPC-S, PMH-C, CEDS. She holds a Master of Science in Counseling from Oklahoma State University and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from The University of Tulsa.
With a background in both science and mental health, Rebecca is deeply fascinated by the mind-body connection—understanding how the brain and nervous system influence well-being and how clients can harness that knowledge to facilitate healing and growth.
Specialties & Areas of Passion
Rebecca works with individuals facing a wide range of challenges, but she has a particular passion for:
Eating Disorders & Body Image Concerns
Maternal Mental Health (Pregnancy, Postpartum, Infertility, Parenthood Transitions)
Anxiety & Stress Management
Life Transitions & Identity Shifts
Relationship Concerns & Interpersonal Struggles
She is especially drawn to supporting individuals navigating the complex emotional and psychological shifts that come with parenthood—including perinatal mental health, postpartum adjustments, and the evolving identity of becoming a parent. Parenthood is a deeply transformative journey, and she is here to walk alongside her clients through its joys, struggles, and uncertainties.
Therapy Approach & Style
Rebecca’s counseling style is warm, empathetic, and deeply genuine. She strives to create an environment where clients feel both safe to be fully themselves and challenged to continue growing toward their goals. Healing isn’t just about talking—it’s about discovering what works for each individual, learning practical tools, and feeling empowered to create change.
