About BETSY

Betsy is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate under the supervision of Lauren Coats, LPC-S. Betsy believes that everyone has the capacity for growth and change. She is dedicated to providing a safe and supportive place for her clients to cope with difficult life events, explore and improve interpersonal relationships, and learn practical ways to make positive changes in their lives. 

Betsy has a Master's degree in Counseling and Development from Lamar University with a Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia Communications from Howard Payne University. She is also a Certified School Counselor with a background as a high school educator in the Rockwall area since 2012. 

Betsy enjoys working with teens/adolescents, adults, and those 65 years and older. She works to allow her clients to feel seen and heard on issues of anxiety, anger, depression, grief, life transitions, self-esteem, and parenting support. Additionally, she has experience involving domestic violence and sexual abuse trauma. Through a combination of traditional and alternative modalities, her holistic approach can help you improve your mental health and overall well-being.
