About piper

Looking for a down-to-earth therapist who can help you navigate life’s challenges with clarity and confidence? Piper brings years of experience and a deep passion for helping individuals, teens, and families heal, grow, and move forward. She takes a person-centered, solution-focused approach, working closely with those overcoming childhood trauma, sexual abuse, eating disorders, anxiety, depression, and family of origin issues. In addition to therapy, Piper offers limited diagnostic testing and screening services.

Piper has proudly called Rockwall home for over 16 years. Before settling here, she earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology with a focus on Addiction Studies from Texas Tech University. Her early career was devoted to serving diverse populations in challenging environments, including:

  • Devereux Residential Treatment Center, supporting teens from families in crisis

  • Covenant House, a homeless shelter for teens in need of stability and care

  • MHMR, where she worked as a Mobile Rehabilitation Specialist, assisting individuals with mental health needs

After completing her Master’s in Counseling from the University of Houston in 2003, Piper stepped away from full-time practice to dedicate time to raising her children. During this period, she remained actively engaged in her community, volunteering in various ministries, including counseling and mentoring women in crisis pregnancies at the Pregnancy Resource Center of Rockwall. She has also served in leadership roles within Rockwall ISD and local charitable organizations, demonstrating her ongoing commitment to the well-being of her community.

A Deep Commitment to Rockwall Families

Piper feels deeply called to support local families as they navigate the unique challenges of raising children and teenagers today. With her extensive experience working with adolescents and parents, combined with her long-standing roots in Rockwall, she offers a unique perspective and compassionate guidance for those facing family struggles.

Beyond the Therapy Room

In her personal time, Piper finds joy in long walks with her husband of 22 years, visiting their son in College Station (Gig ‘em Aggies!), riding her horse, and volunteering with her daughter through the National Charity League’s Lonestar Chapter.

Take the Next Step

Piper is honored to walk alongside individuals and families as they seek healing, hope, and personal growth. If you’re ready to take the next step, schedule an appointment with Piper today.
