About TRAVIS

Travis is a Licensed Professional Counselor who has extensive experience working with adolescents and adults in a variety of clinical settings. He earned his Bachelors of Arts in Communication from Southwestern University and his Masters of Arts in Professional Counseling from Amberton University.

Travis uses an eclectic, person-centered approach that is tailored to the needs and objectives of his clients. He understands that some people may be reluctant to try traditional therapy, so he often uses creative methods like expressive arts and outdoor therapy to make the process less intimidating. He believes experiential forms of therapy are particularly effective with younger clients and those that are struggling with symptoms of ADHD, anxiety, or trauma. He offers sessions at our Rockwall and Heath offices as well as telehealth, and outdoor “walk and talk” options.

Travis also offers Equine Facilitated Mental Health (EFMHL) sessions at Jake E’s Roundup in Kaufman, Tx. EFMHL is a form of therapy involving the client, a therapist, a PATH Certified Equine Specialist, and a trained horse. Activities are tailored to meet the therapeutic needs of the client and help participants develop new and effective social-emotional skills. Sessions are an hour and a half and cost $250.

If you have questions about equine, outdoor, or any other sessions please contact him today!
